My name is Jari Reinikainen and my journey on the path of Karate began in 1978, although I started combat sports in 1976 during the boxing training of the Helsinki Athletic Club.
I wanted more versatile content for my training, and that’s why karate was chosen with the favorable help of friends, and we continue on that path.
Along the way, several other species from Southeast Asia have entered the menu, some more permanently and others left in the background.
In karate, my biggest interest is in the learning process and the many meaningful content of different techniques.
JKS Finland is a non-profit organisation and a karate club that looks after the Shotokan Karate style as developed by Tetsuhiko Asai Shuseki Shihan. Our dojo is located in Helsinki.
