Start karate in January

Ramon is teaching karate

Are you thinking about starting a new hobby in January? Come try karate!

Have you been considering starting karate? Would your child like to give karate a try? We warmly welcome both children and adults to begin their karate journey with us. Training sessions are mainly conducted in English, but Finnish is always available if needed.

The new season and training sessions start in Week 3 (from Monday, January 13th onwards).

Children

Children aged 4–12 participate in the kids’ training sessions. Karate is a suitable hobby for all children, and everyone is welcome to join. Kids’ karate is specifically designed to support young practitioners’ physical and mental development. The sessions provide a safe and fun environment to start learning karate. No special equipment is required to begin—just comfortable indoor sportswear (tracksuit and t-shirt) and a water bottle.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, children and adults train at the same time, allowing families to participate together. Some parts of the training are held jointly, while other parts are divided into groups based on age or belt level.

Training times

  • Young children (4–6 years): Monday 18:00–18:45
  • Children (7–11 years): Monday 18:00–19:00, Tuesday 17:30–19:00, Thursday 18:00–19:00

Youth (12+ years) and adults

Teenagers aged 12 and up, as well as adults, participate in the adult training sessions. Karate is suitable for everyone, so come as you are! You only need tracksuit bottoms, a t-shirt, and a water bottle. The easiest way to start is by attending our beginner-friendly training sessions.

Training times for beginners

  • Thursday 18:00–19:00
