Class Detail

Karate for beginners involves learning the foundational aspects of this martial art, including basic techniques, forms, and sparring principles. Karate for beginners lays the foundation for more advanced training. It develops physical fitness, technical skills, and mental discipline, providing a comprehensive introduction to the martial art.
 
Our beginner classes are aimed for adults. Beginner children train with the children’s classes.

Typical beginner class structure

Warm-Up

  • Light cardio exercises such as jogging or jumping jacks.
  • Dynamic stretching to prepare the muscles and joints.

Basic Techniques Practice

  • Drilling basic punches, kicks, and blocks in various stances.
  • Practicing combinations of these techniques to build muscle memory.

Kata Practice

  • Learning and performing the basic kata with emphasis on correct form and technique.
  • Repetition to build confidence and precision.

Kumite Drills

  • Basic sparring drills with a partner to practice timing and distance.
  • Focus on controlled and safe execution of techniques.

Cool-Down and Stretching

  • Gentle stretching to relax the muscles.
  • Breathing exercises to calm the mind and body.

Tips for beginners

Consistency
